With your new oncology drug candidate you need to deliver your asset where it makes most sense, and at the optimal price point. In many cases we see major opportunities for advanced delivery in, or near, the tumor mass that you target.
Our thermo-responsive hydrogels are injectable as low viscous liquids formulated with your small molecule drug or peptide and we can inject formulations with very thin needles, catheters, or even endoscopic needles of 1.4 mtr and 19-22G. Once injected, the magic happens: our formulations transform into a firm drug delivery depot within seconds as function of the temperature increase to 25-29C, physically entrapping your drug. Then the magic continues: fast release to high concentrations inside the tumor mass through diffusion, followed by gradual release through degradation of the depot.
In terms of CMC and scale-up we speak simple language: straightforward compounding of off-the-shelf excipients, no chemical synthesis, lyophilization if required. Patent protection of our ChemoGell platform is granted. We can perform feasibility studies with your asset or a dummy molecule, and after that you can take matters into your own laboratories, or we take care of scale-up and CMC through trusted CDMO-partnerships.
